Catching up on some pictures:
Our cat overlords are always watching:
Here’s some pictures of Abel, the new foster I got today…
First order of business:
He seems to like having just 1/2 of his radar running at any given time:
He seems to be settling in ok though:
Whats that flashy light thing?
Here’s Jazz, the 10 yr old. He’s in great shape for his age:
“Meeting” Twyla:
He’s a big boy:
He does know how to relax (the muzzle is due to him being slightly interested in the cat):
As usual, I seem to be too busy to upload pictures or otherwise update during the week.
Here’s some photos I took over the last week:
Three boys (Merlin, Kurt and Jazz):
Twyla still knows how to relax:
We had some snow monday, and the dogs got to wear their coats for the walk.
Jazz luckily fit in one of Kurts old coats:
Merlin finds Kurt to be an excellent pillow:
Well, Twyla is much recovered from the biopsy on wed. Thursday she was still zonked and wouldn’t eat until I offered her some roasted chicken. She ate that right up.
Each day she’s gotten better. She still is limping today, but otherwise all her personality is back:
- She comes up and demands attention and petting.
- She was nosing her food around and trying to bury it in blankets
- She growled at kurt when he tried to take any of her food
- She was cockroaching (laying on her back with all 4 feet in the air) on the couch tonight.
- She whined a bunch when I gated her in the bedroom and took the boy dogs for a walk
We go back into the vet tomorrow morning for a 9:30am appt to just check her stitches and make sure she’s doing well.
Then it’s just waiting for the biopsy results to come back.
Here’s some pics from today:
Twyla taking it easy in the crate:
Both my girls:
Twyla hopping around the yard:
Kurt in the sun:
Merlin:
We have great dane sign!
(I should have put something next to this for scale. It was litterally the size of a greyhounds leg!)
Time to relax on the couch:
Catching up on some pictures before heading to bed.
Tomorrow I am heading down to tucson again (Hopefully for the last time for a while). 13 hours of fun driving. Hopefully uneventfull.
here’s a few pictures from the last few days. Kurt and Merlin hanging out in the yard:
Kurt really likes the snow:
Twyla is doing great. Getting around fine. She still knows how to relax:
She’s even figured out some odd positions she can now do since she only has one front leg:
Will try and take some pictures of the trip. Hopefully an easy one.
Oh, I also took a (unfortunately too dark) movie of Twyla coming back in from the yard… (WARNING: it’s 32MB, so if you are on a slow link, you probibly don’t want to click).
Twyla went in monday to my vet down here for a blood test, and it came out great, so we went up tuesday for her second chemo treatment.
This one has hit her harder than the other one, she’s lost some appatite and she yaked up some bile the day after. Otherwise shes very
happy and getting around fine.
Right after we got back from the treatment:
Here’s a shot that kinda shows off her spots:
Here’s Merlin doing a difficult greyhound manuver they call “the flagpole”:
Almost time to go for a walk:
There was a snowstorm that came through last night and today. They were saying at one point that we were going to get a ton of snow. Of course, they didn’t get it right, and we only got around 4-5″ here at least.
The pups had some fun running around in it:
Time to launch into the snow for Merlin:
As befitting his more reserved nature, kurt just walks out into the snow:
Twyla says: “I’m a princess, I’m not going out into that cold white stuff”
Kurt gets some zooming done:
Merlin zooms on by:
Heading back in:
Merlin reminds you not to hate him because he’s beautiful:
Took Twyla up to CSU for her 3rd chemo treatment today.
While we were in the waiting area dropping her off, we saw the Surgeon who did her amputation. He came over and gave her some petting and she was really happy to see him. The chemo went well, her blood values were fine. When I went to pick her up one of the Oncology docs came out with her. She said she wished she could take Twyla home with her she liked her so much. 🙂
So, next treatment in 3 weeks. 1/2 way done with the treatments (it’s a course of 6). The doc said they can do a chest x-ray next time, but I’m not sure it would be usefull. We will see.
