In addition to the SEM photography, I was responsible for preparing and mounting the specimens. (Oct. 1993 - Dec.1993) Research Trainee: National Museum of Natural History Research Training Program; Washington, D.C.: My research investigated insect-mediated herbivory in an Upper Pennsylvanian and Lower Permian Flora using a scanning electron microscope and paleobotany lab techniques such as air brushing and acetate peels. During this ten week training program I attended numerous lectures and tours relating to every aspect of the Natural History Museum, including anthropology, zoology, botany, and paleobiology. Learned how to care for large museum collections in all departments of a museum. (May 1993 - Aug. 1993) Assistant Curator: University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point (UWSP) Museum of Natural History; Stevens Point, Wl: Responsible for cataloguing the museum's plant fossil collection, general repair and maintenance of all exhibits in the museum, care for the live animal collection, and occasionally leading tours for visiting grade school students.
