Winning the Game
The Goal of the Game is to accumulate Victory Points: If the Game does not end in a Revolution, whoever has the most Victory Points at the end of 12 Turns is the winner.

Victory Points are awarded when the following are built or added to the Republic:

  • Village: 1 pt to Granger.
  • City: 3 pts to Robber Baron; 2 pts to Prole.
  • Port: 3 pts to Plutocrat; 1 pt to Prole.
  • Temple: 2 pts to SnakeHandler.
  • Military Unit: 2 pts to Brass Hat
  • City, Port, Temple or Military Unit in Avalon: 2 pts to Redneck
  • Pension: 2 pts to Bureaucrat
  • Subsidy: 1 pt to Bureaucrat

Victory Points are also awarded when:

  • A Faction wins the Presidency: 2 pts
  • A Faction wins the Speakership of the Chamber: 1 pt

Players may purchase 2 Victory Points for the following prices. Simultaneously, all other players gain 1 Victory Point.

  • Plutocrat: $100
  • Robber Baron: $100
  • Granger: $60
  • SnakeHandler: $25
  • Redneck: $25
  • BrassHat: $20
  • Prole: $40
  • Bureaucrat: $20

Victory Points are subtracted when:

  • A city is built (not merely added to the Republic): 1 pt from Granger
  • As result of Revolutionary Fervor: All players

At Game Start:

  • Plutocrat: 5 pts
  • Robber Baron: 5 pts
  • Granger: 5 pts
  • SnakeHandler: 5 pts
  • Redneck: 5 pts
  • BrassHat: 5 pts
  • Prole: 5 pts
  • Bureaucrat: 5 pts
