The Federal Republic of Mylantium was established on December 27, 2004, following the ratification of the Constitution by representatives from the Territories of Avalon and Bicardia. The Federal Government (which operates independently of the territorial governments) is composed of three branches: a bicameral Congress (composed of a Senate and a Chamber of Deputies) that formulates and enacts laws; a President who executes and enforces the laws; and a Supreme Court that resolves disputes about the meanings of laws and the Constitution.
