The People's Republic of Dacosta salutes you!
History
The ancestors of the Dacostan peoples founded the slave states of Sonchok, Buyah and Dhurghuz over two thousand years ago on the shores of the Western Pleidean Sea. They were united into the the Empire of Dacosta in the Year of Good Penmanship by the first Dacostan Sultana, Margaryt I.
Under subsequent Sultanas, the Empire grew to encompass both the Dacostan and Mylantine shores of the Western Sea. Discipline was imposed upon the pirates of Talao Berde and seven virgin males given in tribute by the islanders to the Sultana Irinye IV.
In 1897, the heirs of the Empire threw off the colonial bondage imposed by the Austrolusian patriarchs and formed the People's Republic of Dacosta. Today, the Dacostan people continue in the vanguard of progress and discipline under the leadership of their Beloved Leader, Mrs. Sylvia Bentham.
Domestic Policy
The People's Republic is dedicated to the ideals of equality, serenity and reasonably priced fishsticks for all. Under the latest Three Year Plan announced at the Twenty-Sixth Congress of the Dacostan People, citizens who clean their rooms and brush after meals can expect a 2% increase in fishstick rations. The eating of chocolates between meals continues to be condemned. And security forces vow to enforce the recent decree that all citizens must take their trash out for collection at a reasonable time and on a regular schedule.
Foreign Policy
The People's Republic expressly and vociferously condemns the neo-imperialist formation of the so-called Republic of Mylantium and calls upon all right-thinking people to renounce and embargo it. The People's Republic also vows to continue prosecuting its war to reclaim the renegade island of Talao Berde from the depraved lunatics who currently exploit its women and children. The Snake Handler cult in all its manifestations is and always shall be anathematized.
Tourist Attractions
The People's Republic does not allow tourism. However, we hear that Mrs. Gveltney of 847 Mashborough Lane in Winceton, Caledonia, has a nice little beer garden. We encourage you to visit, so long as you choose a designated driver before you do so.
