Welcome to the homepage of the Congress of the Federal Republic of Mylantium.

Here citizens of Mylantium can see their representatives at work, solving the problems of the nation so that you, the citizen and taxpayer, can lead a better and more fulfilling life.

Structure of the Congress
The bicameral Congress consists of a Senate and a Chamber of Deputies. The consent of each House is necessary for Legislation to be passed, and a 2/3 vote in each House is sufficient to override the veto of the President.

The two houses are presided over by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies and the Chancellor of the Senate, respectively. These members choose which legislation will be considered for action during its term and set the rules that govern debate on each item.

The Houses are organized by the members of the Whig and Federalist parties. Below you can see the composition of each House.

The Chamber of Deputies
The Chamber consists of 100 seats elected at large from the Republic. It is presided over by the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, who chooses which legislation will be considered for action by the Chamber and sets the rules that govern debate on each item.

The Chamber is currently unorganized.

The Senate is presided over by the Chancellor of the Senate, who chooses which legislation will be considered for action by the Senate and sets the rules that govern debate on that item. However, a vote cannot be taken on a Bill introduced via the Senate except with the consent of all members of the Senate.
